Dr. Thomas Bowden started Charleston Internal Medicine, Inc. in July 2001. He grew up in Beckley, WV and graduated from Marshall University prior to being accepted at the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his medical degree in 1997 and completed his residency through West Virginia University at Charleston Area Medical Center. Dr. Bowden is board certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been a leader in the transition to value based medicine in the community. He has also served on the boards of a number of organizations including CAMC, West Virginia Health Information Network, and WV Aledade (ACO). He strongly believes in preventative health and the long range impact it has in a person’s lifespan.
